While the character's lore is pretty up in the air due to them being an OC unrelated to Rivals and (at the time of this documentation) has no lore or established personality traits even as Andy's OC. Has a high fallspeed despite their lightweight traits, allowing them to reach the ground much faster to either continue combos or escape disadvantage.Fstrong will put the opponent into extended hitstun, and can cancel into any move besides itself, but most effectively cancels into down or up strong.Tilts can cancel into specials or strongs. Jabs and Tilts can all cancel into eachother.Neutral Special contains wind effects, but this is just to make the moves lingering hitbox and move reference more apparent. It was decided that her element was Wind, since she could "run like the wind", but regardless of that Ash's moveset hardly utilizes her element, only filling in for moves that were created to make her fit more in a Platform Fighter (specifically Rivals) like Up Special, Down Special, and Forward Special. However, like most 2D fighters, Ash's kit has elements of the "Footsie" and "Bait and Punish" archetype. The playstyle of question could be described as a strange combination of PM Lucario and the entirety of Dragon Ball FighterZ. Her animations also share some similarities to her mod creator, CHAOKOCartoons, personal boxing style.Īsh's playstyle heavily leans into the Rushdown Archetype, focusing mainly on dashing into an opponent's personal space and starting chain combos with her unique cancels. Her moveset derives from boxing characters from multiple 2D fighters such as Steve Fox from Tekken, Dudley from Street Fighter, and to a surprisingly lesser degree Little Mac from Super Smash Brothers. Their character design, while not themed after Rivals of Aether itself, was designed by Andy Ayala, a character designer on the Rivals of Aether team. There are no zoning tools besides down b, which has considerably less range than most characters kits.Easy to pick up but hard to get good results at higher levels of competition Playstyle and weight/physics stats are quite off and even go against some principals from normal rivals characters.Powerful but high risk moves with high endlag.Bait and Punish characters can get the better of her kit Combo starters may become predictable.Lightweight, will be knocked back from some moves a bit farther than most characters. Sliding parry and fspecial allow her to get in on or punish zoner opponents.High Groundspeed (equal to Maypul with the exception of her dash start up, which is faster).A bull, but there is one popular bull character in the workshop. There is a popular workshop character that is a wolf (well, there are too many wolves, dogs, foxes. Difficult to animate, but it could have multiple fists. A centipede centurion (like in resident evil). But there are already two official characters like that. Both are animals that represent rome (specially the eagle). The option I have thought (all of them with mask), by now, are: To reduce the chances of copyright problems (for official workshop tournaments) and to increase the possibility of him being officially accepted in the main roster, I am considering to make him an animal (and then I could do a mod to have the human version). I am planning to do the Centurion from For Honor. I posted this in the main RoA reddit, but well.
