I checking the pinion, spur and drive shafts and all that seems fine. While a lot of people call it the Mini E-Revo, the good people over at Traxxas will be quick to point out that there is nothing ‘mini’ about it. I have not taken the tranny apart yet only because I did not want to pull it apart yet but I feel I will have to. even while driving at a high speed and I give it more throttle it will click then as well. It still drives normal but if I give it too much torc it clicks. While on the ground and beginning to accelarate it sounds as if gears are skipping or stripping. Does anyone else have this issues or had it in the past?Īlso, my biggest challenge right now is trying to find out why and where my e-revo 1/16 is making its clicking noise. As I drove later that day it happened 4 times to the front left tire drive shaft popping off the ball joint near the bulkhead. I had to take apart the section to remount the drive shaft. With in 5 minutes the rear right tire drive shaft popped off the ball joint to the tire. I am running 3s 11.1v 1800 maxamps lipos in parallel. I received my 1/16 e-revo here in Iraq just 3 days ago. Sorry for the long post, just playing catch up I may go with the center differential, I've read good things about it, but I also like the wheelies. They snapped back in place, but it's still a weak spot in our drive line. I'm not an expert, so I could be back ***wards on that theory, though i assume the are plenty other factors that we'd to be considered for strictly road racing.Ĥ: does anyone know of a lighter beadlock we can run on our mervs? And, is there ever going to be an updated center driveshaft by traxxas? I've twisted two yokes already. Not so good on road, but rougher terrain, probably more so. I'm at 60 and think 100 is probably optimal for our bashing. ![]() Do both have the new cross bolt, or just the rear?ģ: highflyr just as everyone said, put front rockers on rear. So i guess I need to get the updated one. They were sending me one on replacement since I already ordered two. Let me know of your successĢ: I called traxxas and asked for an updated bulkhead a few months back. I'm thinking 20 or 19 should be optimal with stock spur if you're bashing on 3s. Anyways, I was in a rush to see How 4s would be and should have dropped my gearing down. What bit the bullet was the right front wheel caught the asphalt at some point and ripped the turnbuckles right from the steering guide. What saved my merv was the T-Bone bumpers installed front and rear that gave just enough flex to absorb and protected the main chassis from structural damage. Allright to catch back upġ: Dennis, I probably should have dropped the pinion size to help out, I am assuming you read the post about my fateful accident where my merv tumbled end over end about 15 times - NOT an exxagerration! Top speed tumble on asphalt. ![]()
